A letter from Jason…
Connecticut needs true leadership now more than ever. Government must facilitate our success as individuals and families, not hamper it. As the economy wallows in the doldrums, job creation must be our highest priority and now is not the time for more government programs funded out of your wallet. Instead, there is no greater solution to economic troubles than creating good jobs for people who work hard. Now is the time for immediate solutions to do just that and for a long-term vision to get Connecticut back to work and improve our quality of life. I am eager to continue this work on behalf of our residents as I learned the importance of public service at an early age. I am the fourth generation of my family to call Shelton home. My great grandparents set the bar high as immigrants and small business owners dedicated to the principles of personal responsibility, self-reliance, and family. My grandfather worked long hours at the family gas station and gave back to our community as Shelton's mayor for ten years. My mother was an educator for generations of Shelton youngsters. Today, my wife, Becky, and I have continued our commitment to service and community. As a long-time ambulance volunteer, local alderman, and now State Representative, I work everyday to represent the best interests of all residents and strive to get Connecticut back to work. I am exploring greater opportunities to serve Shelton, our region, and the state because I believe in Connecticut and in the strength of its residents. My commitment to you has never been stronger...and our shared commitment to Connecticut's future can lift us all to new found success and prosperity.
